Since graduating from UCD in 1987, Colin’s career has spanned a diversity of fields - from IT/Software, through design and construction of electrical distribution and building services systems for a variety of industrial and commercial clients, all of the way to working in the Tokyo based projects department of a multi-national constructor of cement and power plants and as a consultant on development projects in the emerging EU accession states in Eastern Europe.
In 1999, he augmented his practical experience and engineering training with the completion of a Post Graduate Diploma in Construction Law, Contract Administration and Dispute Resolution.
During the last thirty years, Colin has led and managed teams of technical designers in a wide variety of industrial and commercial building projects. The companies in which he has worked – Xerox Corporation, Skidmore Owings and Merrill, Project Management Group, Chiyoda Corporation, Jacobs Engineering Taisei Corporation and IBF Consulting are all recognised leaders in their field. This background - coupled with formal training in Engineering, Law, Contracts and Dispute Resolution – has given him a unique skill mix.
